Team looks at the upcoming matches ATP and WTA Matchups in Moscow. Here are our top picks:

Vondrousova is the favourite

The Czech leads the H2H 1-0 winning their matchup just three weeks ago in Chicago comfortably 6-3, 6-2. Both players have decent records in quarter final clashes this year, with Vondrousova having won four out of five and Pavlyuchenkova having won four from six quarter final meetings. With the Russian Pavlyuchenkova having struggled to win back to back matches in 10 of her last 13 outings, we see her struggling to get the better of the Czech Vondrousova.

The Hungarian Marton Fucsovics produced a solid win from a set down against Roberto Bautista-Agut to win 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. Harris, his opponent has displayed some fine form himself taking out the Jan-Lennard Struff and home favourite Zizou Bergs in straights sets in previous rounds. The H2H stands at 1-1 and we expect this to be a tight affair yet again.

Martinez’s consistency is impressive

Pedro Martinez vs Marin Cilic

The Spaniard has enjoyed his best season yet on hard courts in 2021 and his efforts have been rewarded with his maiden quarter final appearance on indoor hard courts. He hardly broke a sweat in his win against Filip Krajinovic and has looked impressive thus far. The imperious Marin Cilic has registered back to back wins from the first time since Wimbledon and looked to have some of his killer instinct back in his 7-5, 6-3 win against American Tommy Paul. Whilst Cilic is deservedly the favourite in this match, we expect Martinez to put up a good fight.

Mannarino has the gods on his side

Adrian Mannarino vs Ricardas Berankis

Adrian Mannarino produced a sensational win against top seed Andrey Rublev, coming back from a set down and saving a match point to snatch a 5-7, 7-6, 6-3 win. Berankis himself made light work of his first and second round opponents but will find himself challenged against the compethigher ranked Frenchman Mannarino. The Frenchman leads the H2H 5-3 and we expect him to further extend this record.
